Nonencouraged Garage Doors is a referral service. Homeowners come to us with a stuck door, a snapped spring, a noisy opener or a plan for a new door. We pass those requests to independent providers who serve the area. If you run your own garage door business, this page is for you.

There are no jobs to apply for here. You stay independent, with your own business, your own trucks and your own schedule.

What We Look For

• A real local business that serves homes in the Bowie area.
• Skill with spring work, track alignment, cables, rollers, openers and full door installs.
• Any license, registration and insurance your area requires.
• Comfort working with colonials, split-levels, rowhouses and older garages.
• Willingness to be honest about when a repair makes sense and when a replacement does.

What We Expect

Homeowners will arrive with questions, often after a stressful morning. We expect providers to answer in plain words and to give a written quote before work begins. Say what is included and what is not. Be careful with safety around tensioned parts.

We also expect providers to speak truthfully about timing. Don't promise what your schedule can't deliver. Weather swings, such as cold snaps and storm weeks, can fill a calendar fast.

The work, the pricing and the warranty are between you and the homeowner.

We will review what you send and reply if there is a fit. We can't promise a set number of requests, since volume depends on the season and the area.
